We had already the plane tickets for our first destination, but a last detail was sill missing: A medical travel insurance. As all our trip is outside the European Union, we needed to be well covered.
We think that if you start a trip like this, you must be well prepared and covered. Hopefully we will newer need it, but if it is necessary, we don't have to worry. For us it is very important to have a good insurance coverage, as it does not have the same cost, going to the doctor for a gastroenteritis orr for an appendectomy. I also doesn't have the same price in Myanmar or in New Zealand. Prices will be more or less expensive depending on the country where we are at that time.
A travel insurance will also be more or less expensive, depending on the amount of money that it covers in case of illness or accident. It is important to chose well, to have a peaceful trip.
